  • Botanical Description: Hibiscus tiliaceus is a medium-sized, evergreen tree or shrub with a spreading crown. It typically reaches heights of 4-10 meters (13-33 feet). The leaves are heart-shaped or slightly lobed, glossy green on the upper surface, and paler underneath. They are arranged alternately on the branches. The flowers are large, showy, and typically yellow with a maroon or red center. They have five petals and are solitary or arranged in clusters at the leaf axils. The fruit is a round, woody capsule containing several seeds.
