  • Botanical Description: Urena lobata is an erect, herbaceous plant that can grow up to 1-2 meters (3-6 feet) tall. It has a branching stem and often appears as a sprawling shrub. The leaves are alternate, palmately lobed, and velvety to the touch. Each leaf typically has 5-7 lobes with serrated margins. The flowers are small, pale pink to lavender, and bell-shaped, with five petals. They are borne in clusters at the leaf axils. The fruit is a capsule containing numerous seeds, which are covered in spiny hairs.
